Forums - Nintendo Discussion - NGAMER: Nintendo's summit is going to be bigger than E3

08 and 09 nintendo E3s were horrible LOL

Around the Network

Well, 2010 will be it. Nintendo is back.

Proud poster of the 10000th reply at the Official Smash Bros Update Thread.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

The thing is that considering past announcements that we still know very little about, they could put together an awesome show without a single new announcement.
Zelda
Galaxy 2
Other M
Last Story
Xenoblade
Cosmic Walker (if it's even still getting made)
Pikmin 3 (ditto)
Kirby (are we sure it's not just a constant typo on the release scheduale)
And whatever the hell they intend to use the Vitality sensor for.

Just showing us what's actually going on in those games would make for one hell of a show. They could also push some of the upcoming third party title: Monster Hunter and Red Steel 2 being the first to come to mind.

All that makes for one awesome show without a single announcement (asside from the Vitality software)
Announce just one other game that uses the M+ and you've got a show that stands considerably taller than the last two E3's

But I'm sure we'll get some more announcements too, including a list of bizarre quirky fun little announcements about New Wii channels, Wiiware games and other fun stuff.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I don't know what could possibly beat Nintendo's E3 '09. That's where we got 2D Mario, for the sake of craps.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

Hotdamn. Stop hyping me up, Nintendo!

Are these media outlets commiting reputation suicide just to create disappointmenton? We are aware Nintendo doesn't share anything with them.

I bet they've been promised a job at Microsoft or something, but this is gonna backfire on them. Seriously, Nintendo is no stranger to disappointmenton...they'll recover... but this... I don't know about these journalists..

They're probably overconfident that gamers are that stupid, and maybe they are but still it's over the edge now, it can't end well..

They're not.

Finally people are figuring out Nintendos marketing. Focus on the media not the gamers. Focus on the larger group not the niche.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Would a Zelda trailer count as a bombshell? A kirby game for the wii would be awesome. The only other thing i can think of (inside the box) would be a kid icarus game for the wii...otherwise i don't know.

Waiting...waiting...waiting...waiting patiently for MH3 : p

So it'll be better than Super Mario Galaxy 2 + Wii Sports Resort + Metroid: Other M + Golden Sun DS + Wii Music + New Super Mario Bros Wii + The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks + Wii Vitality Sensor (just to mention announcements) glued together?

Nice!
