The Wii is absolutely relevent to this discussion. And it would remain relevent even if the OP clearly stated that this was PS3 v 360 thread only.

Why?

Pacther predicts that this is a battle of pricing. However, the Wii is a model of how to successfully market motion control, and its rise to glory contradicts Pacther's analysis. To try to discuss 360 v PS3 without using the valuable data provided by the Wii's sell through would be an incomplete discussion.

I think that those who fell outraged by the mere mention of the Wii really need to check their emotional response instinct. While those who feel the need to bring up the Wii's dominance should do so in a way that contributes to the topic at hand. Not doing so inibits logical discussion and turns what could have been an interesting topic into a debate of forum moderation philosophy by people who are not even mods.

Anyway, with all that said - Pacther is wrong IMO. The Wii has shown that quality and massively appealing software along with a complete understanding of your intended markets is much more important to motion control adoption then pricing. I still contend that sony is in a better position than MS in this regard. So Sony will win. Also, natal has a wealth of other issues that make it a problematic platform. (Hint: Tactile-less control is horrible)

It´s like theese analists talking about whos gonna win the console wars and not mentioning the Wii, you cant talk about winning the hardware race and not include the Wii.

If he wanted to talk about motion controlls on only xbox and ps then he should have talked about motion controlls SECOND PLACE not MOTION CONTROLL WINNER.
