The other day I was thinking what's the best looking Xbox 360 game? But I really couldn't come up with an answer. Yesterday however I purchased Mass Effect 2 and this is by far the best looking title I've seen. The characters models are incredibly detailed, environments look amazing, and it maintains a very smooth frame rate with lots of action going on.

Its amazing to see the Unreal Engine 3 is being pushed this far. I thought they were already maxing out its potential with the original ME and GoW2.

Depends on your definition of best looking.

I think Ratchet and clank is one of the best looking game franchises on the ps3 but it's not the most realistic.

From a character detail point of view id say ME is the best 360 game, but animations wise it's not even close.

I'm not sure that it is the best graphically, but form an art direction standpoint it is nearly impeccable. So consistent all the way through. Of course fantastic art direction does lead to a certain fidelity.

For me it is, the Unreal engine is well. . . Unreal in this game. My favorite game this gen so I'm biased.

Hell yes. It's the best on any console IMO. Animations are in a field of their own. But it's the whole presentaton as a package that nothing else touches. Amazing.

Well I'm saying this game has raised the bar in showing the capabilites of the 360 hardware.

A while back EA said they maxed out the 360's capabilities. I wonder if they were refering to ME2, but I doubt thats the max of the 360's potential.
