Forums - Nintendo Discussion - No More Heroes 2 sales watch.

Not sure if there's a thread for this, so this is just in case.

Anyway, 41,648 in the first week, doesn't seem like much*, but not only is this just for the US, it is favorable compared to the fist game's US opening of 35,375.

Now it's just a matter of seing the legs and the sales in Europe. BTW, I wonder if it would sell better in Japan, but it seems Marvelous is pinning their hopes on Paradise.

*Unless we make it look like this: 41,648. Yeah, I stole a joke from The Daily Show.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I thought this would at least do 70k first week, definitely lower than expected and I'm disappointed, because this is one of the best games available on the Wii.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

Im guessing a lifetime of... 250 000

"Im guessing a lifetime of... 250 000"

Has a larger opening week, and you're guessing a smaller lifetime?

I don't think you can really put a positive light on first-week sales like that. The original game was a moderate hit and the sequel should build upon the success.. it didn't.. selling barely more than the first week of the original is terrible.

Then most sequels have terrible openings, regardless of the medium.

"Then again calling the game a failure or whatever is really premature. How many cases for Wii games have there been where sales appear low at first but then grow to respectable numbers over time?"

Enough for people here to know better. That's why I even posted on the OP it's a matter of waiting.

It's a decent game, but short, and so IMO it's a little over priced for $50 (not much, and I knew it was probably shorter than I normally want for $50 when I bought it). It will probably have a lot of it's sales after a price drop.

I had a little trouble picking it up. It was not available at the first store I tried, and I took the last copy at the second store. Didn't really check any others, so not sure how hard it was to find.

I expect 25% more sales (lifetime) than the first.

the wii was at 9 million in NA when NMH was released. the wii now is at 31.5 million

so the sequel only went up by around 5 thousand units?

this game is out already!
i need to get to gamestop quick!

hello how are you.
