you know Vgchartz doesn't like PS3 thats why the numbers are always very low I did a same post about metal gear solid 4 awhile ago and everbody got mad saying it was a shipped number when konami stated sold not shipped. But still Vgchartz quietly increased the numbers a week or two later. two weeks ago PS3 was a head of 360 in others by like 200,000 systems now its behind almost 300,000 systems I dont believe it at all. Every one is going to Bash us cuz we see the truth and they dont.. lET the BULLS**T Shipped talk begin!!!

IF thats what you think then according to M$ 360 is nearly at 40 million. Both companies are talking shipped. Otherwise it looks like nearly 7 million behind for Sony instead of the current 5.9

It's a shipped number, i can't believe these threads still come up every time financial reports come out with people claiming they are sold to customers, even posters that have been here for a long time. I will agree with people in here who are saying that it's hard to believe there are that many PS3s on shelves. To the contrary there have been shortages. I find it really hard to believe there are more than 2 million on shelves, even that may be pushing it.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

However no documented shortages by Sony or any game news Ive seen. So obviously it was just normal here and there out of stocks. Like the 360 would have also had.

lol owned

I can say that at my target we have 2 ps3s which we got yesterday and we have a case of 360s which have been sitting for a week or two. and the stores in the surrounding area have about the same stock level.

The 120 gb was out of stock for weeks in December in the US, while the 250gb was available everywhere. Japan had no shortages, and Others too.

Ok there was shortages holiday time then but not now. So couldn't it be the case that Sony SHIPPED extra PS3s after the holidays? That wouldn't be too hard to believe would it? Getting sick of the crying fanboys.

Ok. Sorry with all due respect to VGChartz. Hell no.

When the Wii is shortaged it's headline news. Certainly where gaming sites are concerned. Also Sony have never made such a claim at all.

Remeber VGChartz overtracked EU PS3 sales by nearly 700,000. So more than likely at the time PS3 nearly hit 1 mill, it was probably less due to EU overtracking at the time. So no it didnt hit 1 mill because it didnt sell that many.

There are 2 million PS3's on shelves. There was no out of the ordinary out of stocks. Figures are figures. Even Sony have said they sold through 31 million to consumers in an interview last week.
