I want to buy a grill

in General Discussion on 30 November 2010

I was in a similar situation back in July and picked up a Weber Q220 propane grill. It's a small, portable ( I carried it in and out of the garage easily for a couple months before I got lazy and spend $50 on a cart), heats up quickly and since the shell is cast aluminum is very durable and light on the propane use. The main downsides are cost ($200ish for a Q100 and cart) and if you want to run...

The most overrated game of the year.

in Gaming Discussion on 30 November 2010

Donkey Kong Country Returns. DK64 was a solid 3D game, Nintendo takes over a decade to release a sequel and the best they can come up with is a Super Nintendo game with dolled up graphics?...

Our all-digital future? Was microsoft right and blu-ray wrong?

What are some easy meals to make in under 30 minutes?

in General Discussion on 22 November 2010

Chickens and roasts in the oven or crockpot are pretty easy. Add the meat a bit of water and seasoning, toss in the oven/crockpot, come back when it's done. Crockpots can be purchased for $20ish and allow you to toss the food in early in the morning on low heat and have dinner ready for you at 5pm, really great when you have to work or go to school all day....

Which is better? Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics?

in Gaming Discussion on 21 November 2010

FFT, I never liked Fire Emblem's addition of enemy re-enforcements in the middle of battles.I find it rather irritating  to replay a level because a useful unit got KO'd by an enemy re-enforcement who just suddenly appeared within attack range....

    Left Handed of Right Handed?

Instead of just swapping the buttons and inverting the pointer in...

Why Do Bad Wii Games Get Reviewed So Quickly?

in Nintendo Discussion on 11 November 2010

I think part of it is reviewers trying to attract new users to their sites. Nearly everyone is going to review COD, but a much smaller group will review a specific piece of shovelware, post a review of it and your going to get traffic from people googling it looking for a review. Also another problem game reviewers have is big developers get really angry when they give low scores to Big...

What was so special about the Dreamcast?

in Gaming Discussion on 22 October 2010

It had really nice 3D graphics for the time and the library included a lot of quirky games that were originally unique to the system,  Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Skies of Arcadia, Crazy Taxi, Shenmue II, Record of Lodoss War, Grandia II, Soul Caliber, Phantasy Star Online, etc. Most of the great games have since been re-released on other systems however....
