Honestly Kresnik, I don't even know why we humor him with responses anymore.

Haha. After coming back to the thread, I don't understand why I responded either. I read it every day in the COMG thread and just choose to ignore it, don't know why I reacted there.

Oh well. I'll leave it now.

on 01 February 2017

Nah, it just the same old spin from him. If it was actual discussion, I would be all for it.

Painfully average anime is actually being lifted by a beautiful piano-led OST. Surprised.

I know you weren't crazy about Thomas Was Alone, but wanted to put this on your radar regardless :)

on 29 September 2016

Haha, I'm going to be there for One Way Heroics! Thomas is getting skipped though, because indeed it just wasn't the game for me.

Thanks for the heads up :)

on 30 September 2016

Success?

on 30 September 2016

Yep, I got OWH :) Did you go for anything?

on 30 September 2016

Nothing this time. Shadow Complex was the last one I got. I also bought another copy of Retro City Rampage for PS4 from Vblank. I can't help myself!

Hello there Kres, how are you doing ? I was wondering after finishing DanganRonpa 1 and 2 if i should play Another Episode knowing that i'm not into FPS/TPS much and i'm not sure if i'll like the gameplay but does the game add much to the story because i'd be hella interested.

Hey mate :)

I have mixed feelings about Another Episode. I actually quite enjoyed the gameplay, it was a nice twist on the genre, but I can't deny it was clunky and very low-budget Japanese-y.

In terms of the story, it provides some very interesting insights into DanganRonpa 2, but I wouldn't say it was "essential". What's best about the game is the relationship between Komaru and Toko, which is explored really well throughout. There's also some neat fanservice (not the 'showing lots of skin' kind, more like nods to fans of the series) in there.

I'd definitely recommend you play it if you liked 1 & 2, but I wouldn't say it was an essential purchase like those two.

on 02 September 2016

Thank's Kres. Then i'll definitely keep an eye on it if it ever goes on sale. I just recently started watching DR3 anime and I totally understand what you mean by the fanservice, and the relationship between Toko and Komaru. I recommend you to watch the anime if you haven't been watching it already.

on 02 September 2016

I'm gonna wait until it's all out then binge watch in one go :)

Shiren is pretty good! Still just in the beginning, but I love the artwork. Feels like playing a SNES RPG but on that beautiful OLED screen :)

Yeah, all the stuff I've seen about it seems really good - reviews are positive, artwork seems gorgeous. Glad you like it!

Btw, I'm really coming round to seeing SNES-esque pixel games on Vita. They're just gorgeous.

So Krezzy! How are you?

Hi Coney. I'm okay, muddling through life as always. Bashed my car (into another car) the other day which was a bummer and really upset me, but it's better now since it's being repaired and insurance seems to be taking care of everything. Still madly in love with gaming on my Vita for some reason I can't quite put my finger on. Haha. How are you doing?

on 02 August 2016

Oh sorry to hear that about your car! But I'm glad to hear it wasn't too tough to fix it. There's definitely nothing wrong with gaming on the Vita! My brother has recently got into it, he's replayed the DR games (gonna binge watch the anime when it's done I think) and also Little King's Story, which I'm currently Wii-ing. If that's an acceptable phrase? Who cares anyway eh.

Yeah I'm not too bad thanks. Work and life have both been hectic changing and fast paced but I suppose that's to be expected? Indeed August and September are going to be ridiculously crazy so I guess today is the calm before the storm. Lots of places on my August to-do list for example! So yeah it's gonna be pretty all out and maybe (maybe) too much. But let's see. I'll tell you in 6 weeks :P

Aside from that though yeah pretty good. Thought we hadn't spoken in a while so I needed to see what you were up to these days!

on 02 August 2016

Yeah, it's in for repairs now, hopefully won't be too long.

New Little King's Story! Haha, I actually really enjoyed that game on Vita, despite the performance problems. DanganRonpa is always an excellent choice.

How come your life has been so busy lately? Haha, sounds good though, keeping you occupied! (P.S. What's happening in 6 weeks?)

on 03 August 2016

Oh you've played it too? It's on Steam now (or soon?) as well so hopefully even more people will get a chance to play. Truly is an underrated classic if you ask me.

Oh I'm just coming up to quite a few different deadlines which means lots of travelling; also the transformation process which is happening will also be drawing to a close soon to boot. Everything's just coming at once! But in six weeks I believe that everything should (hopefully!) be done and dusted so there will be a bit more time. It's not a problem, it's exciting. But it'll be tiring!

on 03 August 2016

Hope you and the other party didn't get any physical harm from the impact. Had a similar thing happen to me couple of years ago and the pain can linger at times. Take care, cheers.

on 03 August 2016

Yeah, I played LKS on Vita many mons ago, enjoyed it and it's certainly something different - I wish the city building had been a little more in-depth, but otherwise I thought it was a lot of fun.

Transformation? Is that... for what I think it is? Blimey, we're so out of touch these days, I remember talking to you loads some time ago. Glad to hear your life is keeping you so occupied though!

on 04 August 2016

Yeah you're quite right. The city building is limited which is a shame but aside from that it's a very competent game. A underrated classic!

And maybe! Just maybe...that was back when we were both donning the green banner. How long ago that seems now eh?

Looks like I may be reviewing Shiren the Wanderer!

Well then! I'm really not a fan of turn-based roguelikes (I really struggled my way through Sorcery Saga) but I've heard incredible things about Shiren. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say about it!

on 20 July 2016

I think I've logged more hours on Vita than any other system this year!

on 20 July 2016

Haha. Me too, but that's a given. Just recently finished Octodad!

on 21 July 2016

How was it? What else is on your Vita wish list for the remainder of 2016?

on 21 July 2016

I really enjoyed it. Very, very short but the game's heart and humor really brought it to life.

You know me, I'm into anything niche and Japanese. Steins;Gate 0 is obviously top of my list, I'm really looking forward to World of Final Fantasy; Trails of Cold Steel 2 & Exist Archive as well. Plus filling out my library with some of LRG's releases.

Indie-wise, Drift Stage, Drifter and YIIK are looking good. Plus I'm secretly hoping Stardew Valley comes to Vita since the porting dev have loads of experience on the console.

Did you ever order anything from the Heavy-Arm store?

I haven't, no, but the people on Vita Lounge forums absolutely swear by it.

My Asian orders mostly come from Play-Asia, although I have used Buygame2 in the past (actually had better service than P-A if I'm being honest) and I've used a private seller I met on GAF too.

What're you thinking of buying?

on 07 July 2016

I was thinking about the SRT games, Gundam Breaker, and possibly Asterik War.

on 07 July 2016

Well, they're all on P-A at least. If you look around you can normally nab a $5 off if you spend over $60 as well (I'd offer you one if I had a spare one).

Bunch of Vita games on sale in N. America this week. Anything you recommend? I wish we had the same lineup as EU :-/

Got a link to the sale and I'll check? I have a feeling your tastes are a little different to mine though (I'm quite a fan of the nicher Japanese stuff :P)

on 01 July 2016

Never mind, just found it (I think).

Ar no Surge Plus is a beautiful game/story, but you really need to have read the Ciel no Surge summary to appreciate it, so a cautious recommendation on that one.

Atelier Totori Plus is the best way to jump into the franchise in my opinion. Lovely story; decent combat; exploration is fun etc. Series isn't for everyone though and it's quite slow-paced. One of my favourite Vita games of all time though.

Cel Damage HD is a fun car combat game with a saturday morning cartoon aesthetic and is a steal for $2.99.

Tales of Hearts R is an average Tales game, but Tales is Tales and if you like that kind of thing it's really fun. Combat is one of my favourite of all the series though, which is something.

I've heard the Swindle is good, haven't played it though.

on 01 July 2016

You beat me to it! http://www.vgchartz.com/article/264870/playstation-store-mid-year-sale-discounts-over-100-games-up-to-80-off/

I own a physical copy of Tales R, so I can cross that off. I'll check out the others. Thanks Krezzy!

on 01 July 2016

Oh, have you tried Severed yet?

on 01 July 2016

I haven't! Was waiting for a sale to be honest, definitely gonna try it but I've not been madly interested. Did you enjoy it?

That's some neato Steins;gate art there.

Yeah, beautiful isn't it? I fell in love with Steins;Gate after playing it and there's some lovely artwork for it out there, so I couldn't really not change my avatar!

on 25 June 2016

I'd love to play it, but unfortunately it was never localized for 360, nor released on PS4. :(

The anime was superb, though. It's on my top 3.

on 25 June 2016

I'd really recommend it, although the anime is good, the game can do a lot more since it's not time constrained, plus I really like the sense of input it gives you with the phone trigger system.

Surely you have a PS3/Vita/PC or can borrow one if not? :P
