Final Fantasy XIII series sold over 10 million games, do they deserve it?

in Sales Discussion on 05 February 2014

Deserve it or not, those are pretty good sales. However: XIII = 7.12 XIII-2 = 3.19 LR = 420,000 in Japan, probably around 500,000 in America, and probably around 350,000 in Europe and 200,000 elsewhere. Optimistically, anyway. So it cuts in half or more sales wise each game. It tells you that people are done with the XIII games....

Square Enix presents new strategy: spend less money on HD games and more on Mobile games

What are your thoughts on Square Enix?

in Gaming Discussion on 12 May 2013

spurgeonryan said:I was never really into any of the Final Fantasy games, but that is only because I did not actually learn to enjoy RPG's until the last five years or so. March of the Black Queen did that for me. But I was annoyed when they more or less left Nintendo for Sony in the 90's. A reason the N64 suffered some. They kept on using the excuse that the N64 could not handle their...

What are your thoughts on Square Enix?

in Gaming Discussion on 12 May 2013

Square Enix as described by me: A company with its collective head rammed up its rear end. Their budgets are over bloated, their development times are unbelievably long, their localization habits have been slipping, and their communication skills blow. And I may be alone in this, but I never did see them as great storytellers. That being said: Final Fantasy XIII's last 3 chapters; all...
