Things seem kind of tense around here, don't you think?
Now those threads are getting more successively more absent while almost any negative thoughts expressed about a company is treated like flame bait. It's basically a battleground where the loser is doomed.
This started many months ago though, which is why my post per day count has decreased from 27 to current levels since autumn last year.
The only thing that hasn't changed is the site veterans (Rol, Badge, amp, now NintendoPie, etc.) which are as good as ever. Hopefully they won't change :)
My older brother just got himself a Wii U.
Now, let's see why the fuss is nowhere to be found :P
Come check out this thread!
N64 for the win!
At its time, Gamecube was pretty much tied or even superior in terms of gaming pleasure. Now though I must say that the Nintendo 64 library managed to withstand the test of time better than that of any other console. Sad thing is that Rare made half of the titles that made the console so great though :(
The Gamecube is still awesome as well though. Played Mario Party 5 and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! with my sister yesterday and they haven't aged a bit. (Well, my sister have, not the games xD ) And then there's Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX and some others in addition to those two that makes the Gamecube a strong 2nd place to me.
I probably would have included the SNES if I had one. I tried playing some of the more well known games at one point using emulators, but it really wasn't enjoyable that way. I guess the real experience is needed in the absence of nostalgia :(
But yeah, Nintendo 64 is awesome indeed! :P
GCN is great, too. It's a shame it was overlooked by so many fans. Lots of multiplatform games -- TimeSplitters, Beyond Good & Evil, Prince of Persia -- plus Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime, The Wind Waker, Double Dash!!, etc.
You should give SNES another chance :)
Yeah, the N64 would still be fantastic for sure. Half a pizza is still pizza nonetheless :P
Sadly, the SNES really is in a shitty situation for me. Playing the games using PC/keyboard is awful and results in heavy button input delays, and playing them on my smartphone using a touchscreen, though portable, is even worse. I would like to buy some SNES games for Virtual Console, but since my experiences with the console so far haven't been too good (except for maybe F-Zero and Super Mario Kart to some degree), I fear I would throw my money away for something I won't enjoy.
There are still many famous games that I haven't tried yet though (such as Street Fighter II and even Super Mario World) so who knows. Trying them out might make me like the console more. I'll try them out some day for sure ^^
That's odd. Not one single interesting topic these last couple of days. Oh well...
*returns to playing Xbox*
Also, you need to sign up in that thread if you plan to participate. tbone51 will then send you a message with all the details you need. I myself remember being very confused until he gave me that message (and later responded to my messages :P.
The most complex thing currently would be the system that they use to declare which bracket you will join in round 2. Hopefully he will include it in the message this time around.
I'll go look for that thread. Hopefully my simple mind can find it's way around these rules. xD
Congratulations, man. I'll be pulling for you the rest of the way :)
Just finished writing a(nother) controversial thread. Currently facing the dilemma of whether it should be posted or if it's too controversial.
make sure ya bro gets the message i sent you! Yor both in the same bracket!
You used to have higher posts per day
Also, I myself ran out of religious topics :P At least that last thread felt like an epic finish to me.
Not saying I'm leaving or anything. The Mario Kart 7 tournaments are awesome, and I still check all latest threads every day in case something interesting pops up.
Thanks for your concern :)
hey i added your friend code heres mine 0387-9541-3028
Recently got Mario Tennis Open while my brother got himself a 3DS and Mario Kart 7 copy of his own.
Just stating the reason I've been rather absent lately :)
Argh! I missed your anniversary. Belated congratulations for one year on the site!
I actually wrote a huge OP where I shared my thoughts about the site and some of its members "after one year on the site", but in the end it all just seemed to cheesy, and like an attempt to gain more voted in the greatest user contest. So in the end I decided to keep those thoughts for myself.
Again, thanks for noticing and taking the time to visit my wall! =)
Do you watch anime ;o?
To be honest, I'm sort of afraid I'd get addicted to it. One series alone can release countless episodes, and I'm not sure I want to be distracted by anything that takes so much time... The internet already takes a lot of valuable time as it is :P
As for what I actually have watched, I guess Pokémon takes the price by a long shot. Watched it every day before school, and was already pissed way back then that the series would never end xD Other than that, Yugi-Oh and Sailor Moon also followed, but they obviously weren't half as interesting as Pokémon.
I actually even tried re-watching Pokémon for old time's sake but, as mentioned, was afraid that I'd be wasting too much time if I kept watching it. So only four (awesome) episodes had to do :(
Going by recent avatars I'm guessing you, on the other hand, are a huge anime fan? :P
All the anime you mentioned are the mainstream anime which are long and sometimes endless until it gets to a point of repetitiveness or saturation (not sure if I used the right words xD).
If you do watch anime, I recommend the shorter series that do have a end. There's plenty of anime out there that are REALLY short or have a handful of episodes.
A really good one is FLCL which was shown on Toonami/AdultSwim/Cartoon Network in the early 2000s - It only has 6 episodes and it is a comedy/action anime that involves romance/sci-fi themes.
Clannad which I had mentioned in a thread is a romance anime and is heavily popular due to its touching storyline. It has 2 seasons but season 1 is 23 episodes and season 2 is 24 episodes.
^ I recommend the two anime ;p
Also imo, dont ever watch "OVAs" , they are terrible at least all the ones I watched so far of different anime.
