You're from Murmansk, right? And you currently live in St. Petersburg? I want to go to Russia one day, but I'm not sure which cities would be the best to visit! Obviously St. Petersburg and Moscow are musts, but are there other citiies that you've been to that you would recommend? I've always had an interest in Vladivostok for some reason (probably because of how east it is), and I know some other cities like Kaliningrad, Ufa, Novosibirsk and Sochi, but I'm definitely far from the most knowledgeable!

Yep. Moscow and Saint Petersburg are gest choices, obviousely. Think about Kazan'. Its very different.
