"An Unbiased Review" Payday the Heist- A Hawkeyejonjon Review

in Gaming Discussion on 15 January 2013

I played this game when it had it's free weekend but it really didn't sit right with me. It's a game like Left 4 Dead, but you're shooting cops & bank tellers, not to cool. (Not that I like cops, but come on, it's pretty sick)...

    Radio is still important today?

in General Discussion on 15 January 2013

I love one special radio station in New Jersey, WFMU 91.1. It's a commercial free, DJ programed station with some awesome shows, music, and comedy. But the internet has shown that it is the future of radio, wfmu.org streams online & has massive archives of shows going back over 12 years that are free to stream online, plus podcasts for the more popular shows. My favorite show is on tonight...

Why is steam such a pain in the ass?

in PC Discussion on 15 January 2013

It's probably got to do with the files on the disks being out of date. One time I downloaded Portal 2, didn't play it for months, then when I went to play it had to convert and re-download almost all the files to complete a major performance update. There are probably two ways to get around this. 1- You could try selecting "Do not keep my games up to date" from the Steam settings, this should...

It is not the Wii U that has mildly failed, it is Mario

in Nintendo Discussion on 14 January 2013

I think the point the op is making is that even though there is a good tie ratio of Mario to the Wii U, the Wii U itself could have sold better with a more compelling launch game....

America thinks gun laws are a joke, and here is why

in Politics Discussion on 14 January 2013

    steambox truism

in Gaming Discussion on 14 January 2013

Don't forget they are making a new type of controller, that may allow mouse keyboard type precision from the couch. Steambox will not be a high end PC, it will be a mid range system power wise. There is a market for an inexpensive system that can play cheep Steam games. I'm not buying into any of the new consoles because the games will/do cost too much & the environments are becoming to...

in General Discussion on 14 January 2013

"BTW I think all the reptilian stuff looks like anomalies that come from bad video encoding. That's just my opinion though, I'm not an expert."Completely, I've been around for awhile & seen almost every type of video encoding artifact, Every naturally occurring reptilian video I've seen is an encoding artifact or motion blur./"Game of Thrones helped me make sense out of those issues, oddly...

A thread to open your eyes..

in General Discussion on 14 January 2013

Thanks for the thread, my eyes opened soon after 9/11 using Limewire to download random videos. I encountered fatigue several years later around 2004 & rested my eyes until 2007 when things became too crazy to ignore. I've seen most of the videos posted in this thread and I would suggest starting with the movie The Corporation (2003) (it's a bit dated now, but still true) as a prerequisite. ...

How big does the PSVita price drop need to be?

in Sony Discussion on 14 January 2013

It was bundled at the holidays in Canada with AC3 & a 4GB card for $200 and still didn't sell. The 3G model with two older games was also $200, and didn't sell. What price does it need to sell? $179 with a memory card may do it, but I just don't know if even that would do it. It may be a powerful handheld & it may have enough good games to jump in, but I just don't know if there is a market...
