The anime Psycho-Pass gives me a Cowboy Bebop/Code Geass feel. Check out this opening for it:

Real quick Soriku, I encourage you to watch an anime I've recently gotten into called Psycho-Pass. Excellent excellent anime. Probably the best I've watched in the past 3 years. Do it.

      x
Oh, hi g-value. I heard of it but didn't really check it out. What's good about it?

Yo, it's been a while. Have you seen that X trailer yet? That game looks amazing. But what really stuck out to me the most is the chosen composer for the game Sawano Hiroyuki. I believe Takahashi struck gold with him. He has composed some of the most epic music I've heard from anime in recent years. Check out some of his work:

      Pure awesomeness.

      x
Mah boi. Where've you been? And yeah I saw it, looks great. I'll check out the music later.

I've been working my friend. Takes up alot of my time, Plus I'm not into forum activity as much as I used to be. I just check up every now and then to keep up with the latest gaming news.

Oh, OK. This summer I'll probably get a job and save up for a PS3, Wii U, and maybe PS4 (would like it if the PS4 had BC). I think PS3 will be the easiest to get though as my dad already said he doesn't mind buying me one later...

Cool. I've been reading good things about Ni no Kuni. I'm about to get it myself soon. And there is also Tales of Xillia which comes out later this year. I still need my Versus though. I've been waiting for that s*** since I first started High school. I'm ****ing 20 now.

      on 24 January 2013

Wow, really? That's ridiculus. Well, I guess Square is just taking their time putting their all in this game. Versus could either make or break there company at this point.

Anyways, have you heard the songs I posted up yet?

      on 24 January 2013

      x
Not bad...I like the first one the best. Takahashi seems to know what type of music is good for his games so I'm sure the soundtrack will be good.

I beat Xenoblade today :) Very good game. The gameplay was real deep, the world was huge and lively, the music was epic and fitting and the characters were likeable. The storyline in my opinion had the makings to be great, but I feel it really lacks in depth and was quite predicable ( I feel Takahashi purposely made alot of the plot twists so obvious). It was still enjoyable (though it was nowhere near the level of Xenogears and Xenosaga storywise for me). I'll give the game an 8.6.

      x
Cool. Still think the story, while not nearly as deep as Xenosaga, is more entertaining to watch though. What did you think about the main villain?

      on 03 May 2012

      x
He was cool. Just thought he had a very generic personality. I liked his story and his goals.

I've been living man. I got responsibilitys now. But holy shit, you're almost finish with HS?!!! Fucking hell. I hope you enjoy these last few months as a teenager.

Anyways, I've just got to the part in Xenoblade were you face Metalface after defeating Xord. Dunban is the real deal man. This game is the real deal. How far am I in the game so far?

      x
He still has 18 and 19 before turning into a 20 yr old.

      on 11 April 2012

      x
Not very far at all. Maybe 15% of the story? Are you doing a lot of sidequests?

      on 12 April 2012

      x
None so far to be honest. I'll start doing some soon.
I'm at the part in the story now where Shulk first meets Alvin. I've really been enjoying the storyline so far.

      on 12 April 2012

      x
Alvis :P You should do some sidequests. They'll help keep you leveled well enough, sometimes give you good equipment, encourage exploration, and, well, they're a big part of the game anyway. I did all of them the first playthrough, like 470+ total...

      on 12 April 2012

      x
I will soon. Anyways when does shit get really real in the storyline? I've heard that it takes off once you reach Prison Island. What's your take?

      on 12 April 2012

      x
Prison Island is where it picks up, yes. At that point I didn't think there was really any downside to the story, though some later parts are way better than others. IMO the slowest point of the story is Satorl Marsh till you reach Alcamoth, though some people think it got a little slow again at a point later than that but I didn't really think so. The last 15ish hours of story though are the best.

      on 12 April 2012

      x
Would you say the last 15 hours of the storyline is Xenosaga Episode 3 epic or better?

Also, what characters did you use most when you got all of them together?

I've been using Shulk/Dunban/Melia. They work pretty well together though Melia can be borderline retarded at times.

      on 12 April 2012

      x
Better than Xenosaga 3. When I got them all? Hmm. I switched a lot really. I think I used Shulk/Dunban/Sharla for a while, then I started to use different members so I can raise affinity to see Heart-to-Hearts and it also helps a lot when making gems. By Eryth Sea I didn't have a main party. I did use Melia/Shulk/Dunban for a while though but I was building up affinity with them anyway. Melia's AI is the worst one in the game. If you want to use that party, control Melia. That's actually one of the top party combos in the game, and Melia's Spear Break + Starlight Kick combo is broken because it means INSTANT TOPPLE for most enemies and if you build it up the cooldown isn't that long either. Plus her Arts like her lightning attack is very strong too. By the end of the game my main party was Shulk/Dunban/7th (last party member, you might know who that is though) but I used a variety of party members mostly. They're all viable.

      on 12 April 2012

      x
Damn, more epic then Xenosaga Episode 3? That's pretty hard to believe (unless you didn't enjoy Episode 3's storyline all that much?).

Anyways, I've actually just reached Eryth Sea. My team right now is Shulk/Dunban/Ryan. Battles just got a shit load more intense. And with no real medic in my party, the challange really goes up a notch. I've died a good amount of times already.

Also, I haven't really been doing any gem crafting. I better start getting on it. But how effective are the gems really in battle? Is there a noticable difference?

      on 12 April 2012

      x
I liked Ep 3, I just think Xenoblade's better. I think Xenosaga has a "better" story because of its depth, but Xenoblade is just more entertaining. Gems are very useful, but for most of the game all I did was just equip gems I got from quests and the sidequests leveled me up well so I was OK. If you're not doing many sidequests you'll have a tougher time though. If you plan on making gems, read through this thread I made on GameFAQs: www.gamefaqs.com/boards/960564-xenoblade-chronicles/62487131." target="_blank" class="link">http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/960564-xenoblade-chronicles/62487131.

But storywise (minus depth), would u say the final 15 hours of XB were better then what was presented in XS3 (characters, plot twist, cutscenes etc)?

Also, I'll definitly check up on the thread u made next time I get a chance to get some more playtime in ( I gotta work the next 5 days).

      on 13 April 2012

      x
Yeah, I'd say so. I like the cast more and the major villains by that point are cool, the cutscenes were cooler, and I liked the plot twists a lot.

      x
Yo, where've you been? And yup, been 17 for a while now :P I'm graduating HS in less than 2 months! Anyway, great that you got Xenoblade. Wanna hear some impressions later, especially once you're farther in the story.

Yeah, I'm aware of Xenoblade's US release. It's a great thing. Still haven't gotten around to playing it. I'm been caught in other stuff. I hope to be able to play it before the new year comes.
