What are YOU getting in march? God of war 3 or Final Fantasy XIII?

in Gaming Discussion on 03 March 2010

I'm trding in Heavy Rain Tuesday to pick up Final Fantasy, since I already have it reserved, then I'm using a Best Buy store credit to pick up GoWIII the following week when it comes out. Going to be a good month for games, as I think the L4D DLC comes out this month, too!!...

FFXIV:ONLINE, what will make u play this game ?

in Gaming Discussion on 02 March 2010

I won't play an MMO unless they use the Guild Wars pricing approach (a game every year for about what you'd pay for a year's subscription, so you can say "nah, I'll buy that later" and get more for your money)....

Heavy Rain - The console equivalent to point-and-click

in Sony Discussion on 02 March 2010

CGI-Quality said: Btw, those of you who actually like it and live in the States, don't forget about Thursday (if you pre-ordered it). I actually have to thank you for the reminder on that...  I may as well check out the free DLC before I trade it in...  I enjoyed Heavy Rain the first time through, so this could be fun, but I won't go ruining it for myself by playing it...

Heavy Rain - The console equivalent to point-and-click

in Sony Discussion on 01 March 2010

The review I think nails it most, because it seems to be the only one that actually played it and challenged the game a bit:http://www.edge-online.com/features/review-heavy-rain"The confusion stems from Heavy Rainís adaptable storytelling, an ambitious system that sets itself the impossible task of bringing together Cageís jumble of scenarios. Our heroes canít regurgitate the plot because they...

in Sony Discussion on 01 March 2010

On the corrections on my take on things: I was just watching my wife play, and certainly missed some things. I appreciate the attempt to make sense of it, but it's still not much better a plot... like you said, it's pretty unclear. On the "hit-or-miss" glitches: like I said, my wife had maybe 10% of the ones I did, and really enjoyed the game. I just found that every time I tried to put any...

in Sony Discussion on 28 February 2010

I've seen plenty of reviews and posts about both games being fairly buggy, and the wife played on the same system.... Some examples, though, so you guys can know what I mean:-Cole randomly tking cover against moving objects, then being drgged along "stuck" to them until teh game froze or he died.-Couriers becoming stuck in architecture so they could neither be attacked nor could you fail the...

Heavy Rain - The console equivalent to point-and-click

in Sony Discussion on 28 February 2010

"Another character takes their place" may have been misleading... There is really only the one ending I can think of that is pretty much "if Jayden's dead, Maddison does it" and it does require one other thing to change (I still can't remember the name of the trophy that references it, but the text is pretty much "let the killer fall to his death with either Jayden or Maddison"). Still, tht's...

I can't tell if the above comes off rude; I'v ebeen letting my frustrations and dissapointment with the game come accross with anger with its fans. I know that you, CGI, were very much looking forward to this gme and singing its praises before its release. I'm not looking to insult or offend you, and I know you must be a little miffed that the final product was such a mess....

sjhillsa said:I agree, Uncharted 2 is more of a movie, as it plays out as one from the opening sequence to the very end of the game. I read Heavy Rain 'important' decisions and outcomes are only influential from about 75% of the way through the game.
