Interesting avatar ;) -- while it's easy to riff on the Wii U Gamepad, there's no doubt WiiU is heading into a state of revival anyway. Do you think if they dropped the Gamepad now it'd sell even better?
So releasing a version without the gamepad with a nice price cut, yeah that would boost sales a lot.
Mario Maker could be a big hit, so the the gamepad might still prove interesting, but that game isn't here yet.
My opinion: If you don't have software that makes good use of it, don't force the hardware. Give people a choice, with over 6 million gamepads out there they have enough install base to make developing games around it worth while. They should stop pusing it and make great games like MK8 more accessible with a cheaper system.

No...

Well the tricky thing about the Wii U for this quarter is Nintendo actually didn't pay for any of the Wii Us this quarter. They paid off the manufacturing costs of all the Wii Us they sold this quarter last quarter, so...

That means if the Wii-U is selling slower than Gamecube right know, then that's not going to change. If any Mario Kart is actually bigger than SSB, not to mention SSB is available on 3DS aswell this time around. That's...
