    Could a "Holocaust" happen again?

in Politics Discussion on 05 June 2017

Flilix said: AZWification said: I don't think something at the same scale of the Holocaust will ever happen again. Since a lot of genocides after the Holocaust had several hundreds of thousands (sometimes even over a million), it's rather unlikely that there will never be one on the scale of the Holocaust (6 million) anymore. A lot more than 6 million died in the...

    Could a "Holocaust" happen again?

in Politics Discussion on 05 June 2017

Nobody else has mentioned it so I will, the Bangladesh genocide of 1971 saw approximately half a million people killed. To answer your question, yes of course we will see additional genocides of the scale of the Holocaust if not larger. We still have the same dysfunctional civilizations and ideologies because we are still the same dysfunctional animal. Humanity didn't evolve into a different...

That's what happened here in America. We had our war on drugs, started by Bill Clinton, and it reduced crime huge from the 90's. Yet now we are thinking that all those people in prison for drug related offenses...

Why Bernie Sanders wouldn't have won against Donald Trump in the election.

You don't know that and never will. What we know is that Trump would have won even against Obama 2012 because of outperformed him on swing states. 538, if I'm not mistaken, ran the...

I've always felt like none of the games in GoW gave you any reason to use anything other than the Blades of Chaos apart from some very specific situations. Have you ever stopped playing a game for a reason related to the storyline?

in Gaming Discussion on 06 July 2016

I don't usually care about the stories in video games because frankly, nearly all of them are lousy. However in the case of Valkyria Chronicles the insipid tripe I was greeted to upon starting the game was enough to put me off of it entirely. Someday I'll give it another shot because the gameplay honestly looks pretty good but it's hardly a priority....
