Anyone have magazines before 1994 that have monthly best sellers charts?

in Sales Discussion on 05 October 2009

Alright I just sent an email to NoA requesting SUPER NES sales charts like they had been broken down in Nintendo Power with the NES. (Yes, NP had US monthly sales charts before 1992- you just had to know how to read them)...

Anyone have magazines before 1994 that have monthly best sellers charts?

in Sales Discussion on 04 October 2009

It's driving me crazy! I must have US 16-bit monthly sales !! GamePro only had a monthly Blockbuster chart. EGM only Babbages charts (w/ch skewed too much towards gamers). And Nintendo Power combined their sales charts ("dealer's picks") with the other beginning in 1992.So I;m reviving this thread in seach of SNES/GEN monthly 16-bit sales before 1994....

Why does USA have "In god we trust" on it's money?

in General Discussion on 15 August 2009

To get back on topic:God does not necessarily mean church, especially (I think) in the past."The separation of church/state" is not in the Constitution but comes from a letter Pres. Jefferson wrote to some Baptists during his term. But the founders did not want government influencing churches or the national government assigning a specific denomination for the country as Europe does. Most of our...

Does anyone here ever tell people abou their interest in tracking video game sales? Do you keep it to yourself or do you like to bring it up with others? Is it too nerdy? What do other people think when you do? I've noticed it's a very rare interest and very few can relate unless they are hardcore gamers. Would you mention it on say, facebook or myspace. And I don't believe there are any...

Have any Jrpgs been a commercial success this gen?

in Gaming Discussion on 02 June 2008

Uh...J.RPGs,er RPGs have never been very popular outside Japan. No RPG that I can think of has sold a million in NA except Final Fantasy [VII-XII] and Kingdom Hearts (excluding Pokemon). So RPGs were never popular among the mainstream so low RPG sales are the norm. Always have been. And I'm an RPG fan....

Konnichiwa! I just looked up the release date of the Mega Drive in Europe (Wikipedia) and it was NOVEMBER 1990! Your data is from the previous month. That throws into question whether those charts can be UK they'd have to be US! The Genesis launched in Aug-Sept the previous year in the States and those are sales charts correct? They must be American charts or am I missing something...?...
