Dewy impressions, and if anyone else has it please read

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 22 September 2007

First off if you have Dewy's Adventure and are interested send me your Wii code (I know Shams has a Wii code thread but I don't want to bother him) so we can trade levels we design.  I think this is the coolest part of the game and I'd like to see other people's levels and share mine. Anyhow, I didn't see a Dewy impressions thread so I'll give it a full review since I've been...

A detailed look at each systems games sales

in Gaming Discussion, last active on on 14 May 2007

Standard very long post warning.  There's of course been millions of threads across the internet devoted to various claims about each systems game library and sales (e.g. Wii only moves Nintendo or kiddy games, Xbox only moves FPS', PS3, ummm, only moves Resistance).  Each, like the current one on this forum, uses only a handful of carefully selected games to make...

A weaker Wii and 3rd party support- Mistake or brilliant move by Nintendo?

in Gaming Discussion, last active on on 12 May 2007

I guess this fits better in this category since it primarily deals with games. With the various 3rd party conferences occurring being thus far somewhat more weak than expected for Nintendo fans, the charge is brought up that it’s Nintendo’s own fault for making the Wii so weak.  So did Nintendo screw up by making the Wii so much weaker?  I think that far from being a mistake...

    Zelda franchise declining?

in Gaming Discussion, last active on on 09 May 2007

The other thread about Miyamoto’s comments seems to have centered around Halo and Mario so I figured a new thread would be useful for Zelda.  Miyamoto makes two points that many are conflating but that I think should be considered separate.  The first is that he isn’t happy with Zelda:TP’s sales in Japan which seems to have fed the “Zelda is dying” train of...

Should this generation be the first and last that sees "Global Launches?"

in Sales Discussion, last active on on 21 April 2007

The complaints we are hearing about Nintendo’s under supply and Sony’s oversupply (i.e., constrained supply in Sony-speak) cause me to wonder if maybe video game companies would be better to go back to the old staggered regional release dates.  I know there are good reasons for a world launch, it’s the internet age, companies don’t want any consumers to feel left out,...
