For all the PC gamers out there......

in Gaming Discussion on 14 April 2012

pezus said: Where can you view your score history? I remember checking mine a while back but can't find it now In the top right corner of the steam window it says <youraccountname>'s Account. Click that and you'll be taken to your list of subscriptions. Then there's a link to your store transactions....

For all the PC gamers out there......

in Gaming Discussion on 13 April 2012

I just checked how much money I've spent on Steam. Quite a bit. I have 291 "Games" in my list. And my community page says 257. If I'd bother to actually count which ones are duplicates, tools and episodics, or bought at retail I'd probably come down to approximately 200 real games. Looking at my store history I've bought games for 998,05 Euros and 90,96 Dollars. That works out at around...

So my cousin is building a beast desktop.

in PC Discussion on 01 June 2011

It cannot be overstated how important it is to have an SSD in any new system. It makes every loading operation much, much faster. Booting windows, starting programs and games and loading in games just flows incredibly fast. If you do not get an SSD with a new system it will still feel sluggish and slow, even if it really isn't. Then again, you might not need to buy the absolutely fastest SSD, as...

Thinking about new PC - thoughts?

in PC Discussion on 31 May 2011

I don't know if it's really in your budget, but a PC of today benefits very greatly from a SSD drive. Makes windows much, much, much more responsive and reduces the boottimes considerably. It's the one single thing I wouldn't want to be without in a desktop system, since mechanical HDD's are hopelessly slow compared to the rest of almost any system you can get. If possible, get an SSD....

    Gaming conspiracies

in Gaming Discussion on 11 February 2011

The only "conspiracy" I believe is that all wargames have the americans as the good guy, and that the american government would go to great lengths to keep it that way. But it's more in the line of propaganda than conspiracy....

    Pirates, admit you're thieves

in Gaming Discussion on 11 February 2011

Piracy is not theft. Some people may consider it morally equivilent, but that doesn't make it theft.   But really, why pirate when there's Steam? Steam offers a full row of pros that pirated copies lack, and prices are often so low it should be illegal. Steam needs to be on consoles....

Everyday Genius - Actually a great little puzzler.

in PC Discussion on 03 October 2010

I just bought Everyday Genius: Square Logic on Steam, where it is currently on sale for 2.50€. And, much to my surpise, I started up the game and I just couldn't stop solving puzzles. I'm hooked. So what is Square Logic? In short it's Sudoku with extra layers of rules. If you like solving Sudoku puzzles, then you'll enjoy square logic very much. If on the other hand that is not something...

r505Matt said: Yotsubato is AWESOME. I used to be kind of anti-slice-of-life as a whole until I read that. Each chapter makes me laugh hysterically, probably the funniest manga I've ever read. I was pretty happy with the OP chapter. I know OP is great when I REALLY want another chapter, and that's how I am right now =P Yotsubato actually made me laugh so hard I fell off a chair. For real....

Last One Piece chapter was pretty good. Could have been more awesome, and it could have been MUCH longer... but I'm asking too much. Usopp's new attack was kinda cool. Choppa seems to have become even more stupid! Could he bee any cuter? Lastly, an open question: Have any of you read Yotsubato? If so, did it make you laugh your pants off, like it did me?...

So when is the next chapter of One Piece? Should be this week, no? I'm really excited to see what will happen, I'm just peeved I've been without One Piece for a month and will only get to read a measly 19 pages. :( Hopefully the awesomess of two years after will make up for that. Can't wait!...

An anime adaptation of it is going to start airing on January 2011. I can't wait for it. Beelzebub is good, I've been keeping up with it. No, Beelzebub is GREAT!!!!! F1 2010 Codemasters' "biggest" release ever

in Sales Discussion on 24 September 2010

I'm a huge fan of the Codemaster racing games, but I'm not sure of this one. Can it come even close to the awesomeness that was Grid? Won't it be boring to only drive F1 cars?...

    Who makes the movie trailers?

in General Discussion on 18 September 2010

^_^ Do you know any instances where a movietrailer was actually made by the director? In big hollywood productions, I mean. I'm guessing many indie titles have directors make the trailers. At least I expecting it to be more common there....

    Who makes the movie trailers?

in General Discussion on 17 September 2010

I just sat watching through some trailers on Apple.com, and this question popped into my head. Who is it that makes movie trailers? Is it the director for the movie, third party companies, or inhouse trailer divisions? Cause sometimes, trailers are really, really, really good. And sometimes they suck. Often it has very little to do with the quality of the actual movie. Who, for instance, made the...

Five Reasons GT5 Will Be The Best Racer Ever!... Do You Agree?

in Sony Discussion on 19 July 2010

I've put in more hours into Gran Turismo 4 than into any other racing game. But it wasn't that fun to drive in it. It's the progression and car porn that caught me. Since then I played Grid and Dirt 2. Now those are FUN to drive, but lack the love for cars and almost perfect progression of Gran Turismo.Hopefully, GT5 can make good on the driving this time around. That's all it needs to be the...

For those who complain about the high cost of gaming..........

in Gaming Discussion on 10 July 2010

I used to buy Nintendo games for around 700 SEK (around $80) when I was a kid. Now I pay on average 50 SEK for games on Steam. You won't hear me complaining :D (My steam games collection is also 5 times the size of my N64 and SNES games collection)...
