When did you first notice that grafix had diminishing returns?

in Gaming Discussion on 06 May 2019

I still don't see diminishing returns. Even in early PS4/XBO games the improvement over PS3/360 was massive for me. With Ray Tracing on PS5/XB4, I believe this will be one of the biggest jumps we have ever witnessed. I think a huge part of how people perceive improvements depends on the display they have. If you are still rocking a 32" 720 display, then stuff like 4K and HDR, and fine details...

Most Anticipated New Release of May

in Gaming Discussion on 06 May 2019

Blood and Truth Not only is it my most anticipated game of May, it is my most anticipated game of the generation. Looking forward to seeing what can come of a AAA 1st party VR title! Also very excited to see how Everybody's Golf VR turns out. VR is the best thing that has graced gaming in over 20 years, and this month looks to offer two of the bigger titles so far. Couldn't be more...

New PlayStation in 2019 - 7nm PS4 Super Slim Might Be Coming Soon

in Sony Discussion on 26 April 2019

Trumpstyle said: I'm a no this, it just cost a lot of money to port the soc/apu to 7nm, so no we won't see a super slim PS4 and if we did giantbomb/eurogamer/kotaku would probably leaked it by now. I don't know about this. Sony could be looking at selling another 30 - 40M PS4 Super Slims. A super Slim has the potential to allow them to move the price point down much lower, reaching...

New PlayStation in 2019 - 7nm PS4 Super Slim Might Be Coming Soon

in Sony Discussion on 24 April 2019

I've never doubted they would make a 7nm PS4 at some point. The system is too successful not to. Now I just wonder what the goal of the device will be? A Digital Only PS4 SS with 4K streaming, and 512GB of on board Storage could sell for as low as $149.99 and go head to head with the Set Top box market. I think this is the perfect utilization of the PS4 going forward. Aim it at the...

PS5 Price Point

in Sony Discussion on 22 April 2019

How much I am willing to pay, and how much I hope it cost are vastly different. I personally would have no problem paying well over $1,000 for a console. Now obviously that is well out of the norm. That would be if Sony or Microsoft was willing to put out a truly premium model that offered the absolute best in tech at the time. This would not be the entry level device. As for what I think...

PS5 Confirmed Backward Compatibility

in Sony Discussion on 16 April 2019

Cerebralbore101 said: For everyone that thinks the price will be too much...1. The PS3's $600 price tag is $750 in today's money. Inflation is a thing. 2. 360 launched a year earlier for $400 and $300. Wii launched alongside it for $250 with a free game packed in. There's not going to be a $300 XB2 model. Nintendo won't launch alongside them this time. 3. PS2 had been price cut to $129...

PS5 Confirmed Backward Compatibility

in Sony Discussion on 16 April 2019

HollyGamer said: Why Mark Cerny are confident when he Said "it will be more faster then normal SSD on PC today's standard (including NVMe )",  because all application/ software that made on PC until today never made with SSD in mind. Means PS5 games and software will be a new standard for next gen games to be made with SSD in mind. As PC gamer who already using SSD i am glad that...

PS5 Confirmed Backward Compatibility

in Sony Discussion on 16 April 2019

I think people are going to be surprised with this Storage. SSD's are going to blow past HDD in Capacity/Price over the next few years. They are talking about not only speed, but also storage capacity. SSD will allow them to offer massive capacity as the generation progresses. I believe they are planning for the PS5 platform to lead the PlayStation brand longer than any previous PlayStation. By...

Are exclusives anti-consumer?

in Gaming Discussion on 15 April 2019

For me exclusives are are gifts. They are companies paying large amounts of time and money, to the most talented developers, allowing them to put their full passion into a project. Regardless of whether you like a single platform, or every platform, exclusives are where the best experience is at on every platform. I see multiplatform titles to be the truly anticonsumer games. Sure everyone has...

If the PS4 wins this gen, consoles will become obsolete

in Gaming Discussion on 10 April 2019

Charlesabl8770 said: Bofferbrauer2 said: Forgot to include that into my previous reply, but what guarantee do we have that there will be no games which won't run on the base consoles? After all, when the next gen comes out, supporting the mid-gen upgrades will be way easier than the base consoles. While it's not going to happen anytime soon, I could see that happen in around...

Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey getting VR support with Nintendo Labo

in Nintendo Discussion on 05 April 2019

Just Pre-Ordered my Labo VR Kit to support the cause. Mario and Zelda will be a great way to kick things off. I am hoping for Mario Kart, Metroid, and Splatoon VR later on. Those titles could really take advantage of VR. Would be insane if Nintendo beats Sony and Microsoft to market with the first AAA Exclusive FPS. ...

Sony Releases New "Only On PlayStation" Exclusives Highlight Reel

in Sony Discussion on 29 March 2019

PlayStation has surpassed Hollywood. Nothing on the big screen holds a candle to the experience and story telling we have witnessed in The Last of Us, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon, God of War, and Spider-Man. I can't wait to live the experiences in Days Gone, The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, and Death Stranding. Even more so, I look forward to where they go with VR. I would...
