Why did you buy a wii?

in Nintendo Discussion on 17 May 2010

I haven't been a serious console gamer since I was a teen, so I was going to sit out of this gen. Revolution sounded like a terrible idea.Motion controls and E3 2006 changed my mind, suddenly I became very interested in consoles, and my love for Wii began. I'm still a PC Gamer, but when it comes to consoles, I couldn't imagine playing anything else....

    Sony's Next GEN plan

in Sony Discussion on 18 March 2010

PS4:Following Wii's lead, making the blue ocean red.Small form factor, cute, attractive, acceptable to women. Low initial price ($300, tops). Near current-gen graphics. Built-in PSeye, advanced Johnny Lee style motion control. Wow factor: 3D Graphics used in conjunction with motion, feeling like you're actually dodging projectiles. I feel Sony will go the Johnny Lee style 3D route, since it...

    I have Red Steel 2!

in Nintendo Discussion on 14 March 2010

The movement portion of RS2's sword fighting is primarily based on how hard you swing, there's little to no concern as to what type of swing you choose.  Except in the case of finishing moves, but that to me isn't satisfying as there's no strategy in following what the screen tells you to do.  In Wii Sports Resort, the direction in which you swung was as important as the velocity....

    I have Red Steel 2!

in Nintendo Discussion on 14 March 2010

Buzzkill incoming.Having played a few levels of Red Steel 2, the game that I heaped all my hopes of M+ onto, I have to say I prefer the sword fighting in Wii Sports Resort. Blocking seems more important and strategic in WSR, you have to move your sword in the correct direction to block the attack. In Red Steel 2, you just press "A" to block, how you hold your sword is seemingly irrelevant (at...

in Nintendo Discussion on 23 November 2009

Aonuma: Motion Plus feels "very natural"

in Nintendo Discussion on 20 November 2009

"We're making efforts regarding the total flow of the Zelda game. So far, the basic flow of the Zelda games is you're exploring a field, you go to a dungeon, you conquer it and return to the field. We're looking at altering that traditional flow. That's all I can share, and I can't say more until E3 next year."THANK YOU!THANK YOU!THANK YOU!...

Just finished Dead Space: Extraction.... WOW

in Nintendo Discussion on 05 November 2009

I agree with the above poster, Dead Space: Extraction was better than Dead Space. Dead Space: Extraction is by far the best on-rails shooter I've ever played.  Dead Space (original) is not even close to the best 3rd person survival horror I've played. Not to mention the bugs, crap gamepad controls, and so on.  DSE is perfection....
