How do I make gaming fun again?

in Gaming Discussion on 05 October 2015

Well, step one is to realise that it's actually okay to not be all over video games. There's a ton of other stuff out there that's really cool, and even the satisfaction of having your place being reasonably clean and shiny isn't less valid than the satisfaction you might get from playing a given game. If you truly are not that interested in games that much anymore, then roll with it and use it...

Now that God of War has fallen into the MultiPlayer darkside, What other good singleplayer games are left?

in Gaming Discussion on 30 April 2012

I honestly don't have a problem with it. Some games may degrade their singleplayer to have multiplayer, but it's not guaranteed in any way. And I personally felt God of War III was a waste of money when I got it on release. The singleplayer was nice, but at that price I would have much prefered to spend my money on games with more content, so some multiplayer is nice. Provided they make it good...

Attention programmers! Support Light Table, a new kind of IDE

Attention programmers! Support Light Table, a new kind of IDE

in General Discussion on 29 April 2012

Light Table is a new kind of IDE that seeks support on Kickstarter. It's being built around these core principles: You should never have to look for documentation. Files are not the best representation of code, just a convenient serialization. Editors can be anywhere and show you anything - not just text. Trying is encouraged - changes produce instantaneous results. We can shine some...

Ajescent said:The birth? What the fuck? My thoughts too. The WiiU is probably going to be the first home console to have digital versions of all retail games launching the same day as their retail versions, but that's hardly a birth of any kind. :-P The 360 allows you to buy many of its retail games online, the PS3 has had digital versions of retail games launch the same day as at...

The former is annoying, it looks like there's no gravity, the cursor on the map procedes speedly, but the character moves sooo slowly in the enviroment! The latter could be another choice of developers...I was expecting something similar to WoW,...
