But when you know Japan will never accept foreign HW then you need to focus on regions that do. Sony have the slight edge in Europe due to loyalty of the brand. But NA (the biggest market in the world) seem to still like the 360. This is where they know they can make up on the market share for the last generation so they should stick with that region.

Why does PS3 suck in Japan?

No Games, poor online, Bigger machine than the 360. (which we know the Japanese like their machines small). No BC. Sony seemed to have hinged an aweful lot on Metal Gear. (which looks amazing). But do they really have any more killer apps to follow?...
