i noticed you like FMA brotherhood, how good is it?? or more exactly, how different is it from the other series??
i recalled that the original FMA start differing from the manga at the middle of the series, and since FMA brotherhood is a more fidel adaptation to the manga, i just figured the first half has to be very similar to the first series.
about romance in X, totally forgot in my last post. the thing is tokyo babylon has a main cast of 3 characters and romance is the central plot line. while in X there is a main cast of 16 characters, so even though all of them are involved in a romance some way, emotion shapes their actions, but is never the ultimate battle to escape the grasp of destiny and the struggle man/nature which is the plots central point.
here babylon and a thousand more, this is the brower page: http://manga.animea.net/browse.html
if you dont have a really fast connection or super computer, close all pages and wait for a real while, the page is just gigantic.
i also did a user review for X a while back, heres if your interested:http://www.animea.net/reviewfull/1441-x-tv-review.html
yes, the ovas are truly something, but as much as beautiful animation and an exelently carved plot can carry you, some has to admit the last two ovas(relfections) were lacking in adaption, differing greatly as in the manga, but they still look very good.
i wrote this review of rurouni kenshin a while back: http://www.animea.net/reviewfull/1381-rurouni-kenshin-review.html
and btw shinkai draws all the characters, while the character in the kenshin ovas are not drawn by watsuki, but by the studio.
