VGChartz has not updated ONCE in the month of June

in Website Topics on 30 June 2015

I'm not sure why people are that bothered. The numbers were a load of rubbish anyway, guesses plucked out of thin air which later got corrected when 'real' numbers from reputable sources were released....

More importantly, why are you spending your hard earned money on such frivolity? If it were such an issue, I would think eating better or maybe taking up a sporting activity for heath (since the...

FFS. How many times does this have to be said-DRM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH COMBATING PIRACYIt doesn't work and never has done. It's there to control what you do with the media you've bought- in this case to ensure that you can't resell it. ...

    Ubisoft commit commercial suicide

in PC Discussion on 27 January 2010

It's nothing to do with piracy. It's to stop you reselling your game. If this works, it comes to a console near you, very soon. For some odd reason a lot of console gamers seem to think that what's happening in PC gaming doesn't affect them. It does, it's just a couple of years ahead. Make a stand now before it gets much, much worse. Forget the petty tribalism and THINK. Above all, write to...

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010/01/27/new-ubisoft-games-must-always-be-online/ Clearly the way to combat third party sales, erm, sorry- piracy, is to piss off your paying customers. So at the moment, Assassin's Creed has a higher rrp than usual for PC games, is coming out months after the console versions (with no additional advertising) and you need to be online to play it, at all times....

Upcoming PC games of 2010 (Huge List!)

vlad321 said: The funniest thing of all is that those very same people whine about the Wii being stupid.   Heh. There do seem to be some very defensive posters around, almost like they're embarrassed by having chosen a console. Personally, I've always seen console gaming as complementing PC gaming, rather than being a replacement for it. It's a shame consoles have tried to...

    Steam: Bioshock 1+2 pre-order deal

in PC Discussion on 21 January 2010

Largely because it's unnecessary bloatware and utter crap, the problem is not really about dedicated servers. Take a look online at the problems people have had with losing save games or the hoops they've had to jump through to get DLC. Steam's fine as there are actually benefits to using it. GfWL, especially on a game bought through Steam, is just an extraneous layer, another thing that can go...
