Smooth McGroove is Likely Deceiving His Patreon Supporters & the World

in Gaming Discussion, last active on on 23 September 2016

I firmly believe that Smooth McGroove is perpetrating a massive, years-long hoax to trick his audience into thinking he is creating the videos he makes of him seeming to sing video game music 'a capella' live, when really he is taking samples of his voice (singing, for example, just the sound 'baah' once, at one pitch, into a sampler, and then mapping it to the synth keys) and then playing back...

Nintendo Stock has NOT Recovered, Apologists!

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 27 January 2016

When I suggested that the huge drop in Nintendo's stock was because people were dissapointed in the reveal of 'Miitomo,' people were FURIOUS at me on here. A guy insisted that the stock was going to go right back up, and that the investors 'sold the stock while it was low so they could buy it back later when it went back up,' which is, I'm sorry, absolutely stupid. When I told him that went...

    Nintendo NX -> WebOS MetaApps?

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 17 January 2016

This is just conjecture. Hear me out. We all know what happened with WebOS. Why couldn't it happen again? If Nintendo have a patent on holographic storage (which surfaced during the Wii days), why couldn't they couple that with web apps and make some kind of interoperability between handheld and console that relies on a sort of 'portable cloud' via holographic storage? It could...

    Poop the Force, Dook!

in Movies Discussion, last active on on 25 October 2015

I'm sick to death of having Star Wars rammed down my throat every time I leave the house. Giant wookies gargle at me inside stores. Hell, even the conveyer belt at a store had the yellow crawl text on it... IN SEPTEMBER! I'd go to the spoon aisle, so I could gag myself, but I'm worried there will be little Yodas and Droids shaking forks at me....

in Gaming Discussion, last active on on 22 October 2015

http://www.engadget.com/2015/10/22/harmonix-employees-rock-band-4-amazon/ Dubs. Tee. EFFERS?! First they pound pork into the pooch with no online play, then they manipulate their review scores with LIES? I am deeply frustraged at them. FRUST-RAGED!...

    Puzzles and Dragons?

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 31 May 2015

This game is confusing the living crap out of me! You get a new 'helper' every level, what?! It was World 1-5 before everything that happened didn't pop up with a freaking info page that took away control, yet at the end of all this handholding, I don't understand the basic principles involved in so much of it....

Rocksmith 2014 - Anybody else here play it?

in Gaming Discussion, last active on on 06 January 2015

Rocksmith 2014 has been out on the other systems for a while but just came out for the Xbox One and PS4 in November. I've had it since then, and it is outrageously awesome. Picked up a second cable for it and play two player with my wife all the time. We trade back and forth on the bass and the lead. I've started getting a lot of DLC for it. I can't believe how well it works. Makes Rock Band 3...

ANNOUNCEMENT: 'Survival Poopies' from Remnar Productions

in Microsoft Discussion, last active on on 05 January 2015

Going straight to digital, this $5 mobile port puts you in command of a 'trio of trepidatious turds' as they navigated from bowl to seawater basin. Described as 'pipe puzzle action meets stinky doo doo,' this game looks to be an easy 1000G at least....

What would you pay for Haptic Blowback Integration?

in Gaming Discussion, last active on on 11 August 2014

Companies are betting that the next big thing in gaming (after the upcoming VR craze dies down) is going to be 'haptic blowback.' Imagine getitng hit with a soccer ball and it hurts like hell. The only thing virtual about it is the visuals. So you could be shot to death in your own house and it only sort of is fake. Does this seem cool to you, and how much would you pay?...

"ShredFest" to stream live on Xbox One

in Microsoft Discussion, last active on on 11 August 2014

The fourteenth annual ShredFest will be livestreamed to Xbox One owners on a special app that launches the week before the September 14th start of the venerated festival. Headliners "Crong King" and "Dillard Mixars" will be on hand to hand out special Xbox One units to a lucky few fans. I'm pretty pumped, though I think the Mixars latest album isn't as good as their fourth or fifth....
