Metro Exodus might not be the prettiest game on console but holy he'll is that HDR used in such a fantastic way. The graphics on ps4 are flawed at times and really make you see just how HDR can make a game look way better than it is under the surface, not to say the game doesn't do things well graphically but it's something that fails to come together without a powerful PC. It still blows most...
Seen ads for it on IGN. I expect nothing less than an 8, perhaps an 8.6 or some shut like that. ...
Lauster said: As a color-blind people, HDR never interested me. Are there any advantages in this case anyway ? Could another color-blind tell us about his experience ? Of course there is, the luminosity is the main focus for me and trumps all else. Having three different light scoures or more crossing each other in Metro Exodus and one seemingly blinding you yet still being able to...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine by Gavin Hood. Wait... I was joking with my post but people actually dislike Interstellar? Are they fucking nuts? Is this a general consensus what cause I...
I am probably one of the few that liked it but I thought interstellar was a pretty good film and Inception was also up there for me also. This Nolan fellow, as much as people dislike his films, I love them. And on the matter of Forest Gump, screw everyone else, it's a fun and enjoyable film that brings a smile to the cheeks....

Crackdown was the centre of the console war this gen from the very start as it was pushed as a title with the full backing of the cloud. Turned out to be a cloud of...

Not that I care about crackdown in the slightest but I'm really surprised by this thinking about it now post launch. They could easily have had at least a Second Son level game or better while bridging the gap between the 00's and this decade without slipping to far to into either, as to why they went fully with the 00's style is odd unless they just didn't have the skill or were mismanaged. I...

It was pretty bulky so I stopped bringing it with me out of conveinence and then stopped using it altogether in favour of my DS. The Vita slim model, though, that thing is the greatest handheld to ever exist and if it had taken off and gotten the games I'd also say it beats out the switch, it's still a much nicer form factor regardless so if you can find enough in the library to enjoy I'd say...
Oh and there is a new kind of HDR content in film with The umbrella academy on Netflix. Every window shines days of sunlight in as if they were passing into your room through the TV, flash photography blinds you like it would in real life, the gun fire is the same and it's fucking incredible to watch. It doesn't do much with colour but what is there is amazing. The windows,n light sources and...
Okay, I take back everything I said about 4k alone without HDR. I spent the evening last night with my 32 inch 1080 hooked up to my pro and I'm flabbergasted how bad it looks now, even putting HDR aside the difference from 4k down is more than that of 1080. Netflix, games, text.. Even the menu icon are so drastically more clear. I'm stubbed I hadn't been noticing the difference until I went back...

It's good in film but I'm underwhelmed by it in games, in Horizon for example it just looks like aggressive anti ailsing was applied and it GOW it just makes the picture sharper, Re2 is again the same as horizon. In Detroit become human the difference is barely noticeable without HDR on. GT...

LCD are bad yeah but LEDs are pretty good, at least the last two I've bought anyway, I have seen some that do lighting from the side or something but the 4k LED I have now does blacks really well, the blacks are just slightly noticably lit but with HDR on it might as well be an an OLED....
DonFerrari said: Yes HDR is great. Had me impressed when turned on. And when it is faked like in RDR2 it is a bummer. Not aware of any non-4k tv having it in Brazil though. And best part? It isn't processing heavy so no impact on the game performance. There are a few small brand named Tv's here that do 1080 HDR and the big companies did for a while but it seems they are pushing...

I just bought a Samsung s8 and the HDR on it is pretty spectacular, very much on par with my TV in the case of colour and nearly there in the luminosity, but where it lacks the range the deep blacks make up for it in spades, it lacks the punch of the big screen obviously however it's still amazing and if anyone is unconvinced on HDR have a look at some sample videos on YouTube if you have a phone...
