Well you can just download the free songs and play the game same as before I would think. Maybe I'm missing your point though, not sure.
Personally, I love that they are adding all these features, but I do agree they don't need to make them super-realistic to the point where you might as well just buy the real thing. I think that definitely does defeat the point.
