I'm really not sure whether people are more afraid that the new gamers Nintendo brings into the market will leave or that they won't leave ... The fact is that neither is likely to happen in the way that people fear.

  • Non-Traditional gamers are probably not going to enter the market with enough influence to completely dominate the attention of the publishers
  • Non-Traditional gamers are probably not going to leave the market so quickly that the sales of games targeted towards these gamers flop
  • Non-Traditional gamers will probably buy a lot of 'Borderline' games which appeal to both core gamers and Non-Traditional gamers
  • Non-Traditional gamers will probably buy a few core games that interest them
