Honestly, I actually prefer Nintendo's hardware to Sony's and Microsoft's.

The latest graphics aren't a big draw for me, I like that they try interesting new things, and I like stuff like motion controls, IR, and a split controller.

The internal hardware of the Switch could have been better though. I.E. Pascal instead of Maxwell for a 50% increase in performance at the same powerlevel, I assume Nintendo just got a really good deal.
For GPU capability in a tablet/phone form factor, Tegra was the best option at the time, no doubt. (Although other chipsets are more performant now.)

The joycons I couldn't care much for... But the concept of them is awesome and novel... And allows for split screen multiplayer even in public without having to carry a heap of accessories. - However I prefer the Pro controller to be honest where possible, especially for shooters like Overwatch, but the Joycons were fine for something like Links Awakening.

The dock itself is a good idea that Nintendo could have taken further, but it is what it is.

Not a fan of motion controls though, usually it is the first thing I disable. Haha

Fair enough, to each their own. And yeah since the X1 wasn't exactly a big hit I expect Nvidia were keen to get rid of them and so Nintendo were able to get them for a good price. I'm not fussed though, Switch graphics still look good to me haha.

The Joycons are one thing I would like to see Nintendo improve upon with Switch 2; keep the core concept but make them more comfortable. I still prefer them to a standard controller as I really like playing with my hands further apart, but the buttons/sticks could be improved.

I guess the reason motion controls work so well for me is I've always been a very kinetic person, I'm the kinda guy who paces around rubbing his hands together when thinking or who was already leaning left and right on the couch to avoid obstacles when playing Starfox on the SNES haha.
