Well I was specifically referring to opening credits. Some games have late title screens/opening credits. But in Nier it happened when I was 30 hours into the game.
https://youtu.be/hEhs20yJxzk?t=32 After Route B, which began and ended the same as Route A, I imagined that Route C would be retreading the same story again, but perhaps from the perspective of A2. I did not expect that the story would continue from that point, but it did. And when it did, I didn't know how much it would be. 10 minutes? 1 mission? Before I really got a chance to process that, this scene happened and the opening credits played. So in my mind I'm thinking "Just how much is there left of this game? Am I even half way through? Is this like a sequel built into the original game?" There's also an interesting thing about the pause menu, that I missed on my first playthrough. Spoiler!
