Titan is a earth elemental, and thus is "brown".... its not a matter of racism or anything.
its looking at nature, and makeing a elemental that fits such, look abit like the element its supposed to represent.

I wasn't portraying racism, was just that I remember her tanned. And rivers, lakes,, etc are often brown.

Squire enix wanted "aesthetically pleasing" water & effects, and looks for a element of water or ice :)
