Question: has anyone played on various difficulties to spot any differences between them in regards to traversal and/or combat? Or is the very act of turning 45 degrees causing a balance shift a universal rule among all of them?

I think once you equip a power skeleton, your center-of-gravity is higher, since you give up the 2 slots near his legs.  The physics engine in this game is excellent.

During combat with mules, I prefer to unload all my cargo into private lockers beforehand.  This way, I can be stealthy, not get pinged, and have a higher chance of success on the first attempt.  😊

[edit: as an official homo ludens, I have gained the new ability to see real world terrain colored in blue, yellow, and red markers in real life. 🤪😂🤣]
