NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready 441.12 WHQL Driver released, optimized for Red Dead Redemption 2

NVIDIA has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready 441.12 WHQL Driver is optimized for Red Dead Redemption 2. NVIDIA claims that this driver provides the latest performance optimizations, profiles, and bug fixes for RDR2.
Furthermore, this driver adds G-Sync support to the LG B9, C9, and E9 4K OLED TVs. Thus, we are certain that the owners of these TVs will be happy to hear that they can now use their TVs as G-Sync monitors.
The NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready 441.12 WHQL driver also updates the application profile for Borderlands 3. It also brings optimizations improvements to EA’s upcoming racer, Need for Speed: Heat. Moreover, this driver adds security updates for driver components.

AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.11.1 released, optimized for Red Dead Redemption 2

Today is a big day as Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally coming out on the PC. And similarly to NVIDIA, AMD released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. So, as you may have guessed, the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.11.1 is optimized for RDR2.
Moreover, this new driver adds support to some new Vulkan extensions. It also fixes a bug that could cause the framerate to remain limited to 60fps in some Vulkan API games.
This new driver also comes with two fixes for The Outer Worlds. For instance, it fixes an application crash when opening the characters inventory screen. It also fixes some rendering issues with the character models on the inventory screen.

Square Enix has removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Octopath Traveler

Octopath Traveler came out almost five months ago on the PC. However, and while most PC gamers were really pleased with this release, some were disappointed to find out that the game was using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Thankfully, Square Enix has decided to remove it from the game.

Dark Souls modders have added the first custom map into the game

Dark Souls modding has hit a major milestone, seven years after the original version launched on PC. The first new map, which you might recognise as Half-Life's Crossfire, has been imported into the game. Check out the test above, courtesy of modder Dropoff.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally available on the PC. While our PC Performance Analysis will not go live today (or tomorrow), we can confirm that the game takes advantage of the latest APIs. These are, obviously, DirectX 12 and Vulkan.
