Wow, you must have gone to a lot of trouble there. Thanks a lot! Shows my data wasn't quite accurate. Very interesting nonetheless. Once Mario is broken down, its's not even best selling franchise! 3D Mario is about 5th! Also, i'm surprised Mario + Sonic is lumped in at all with Mario. It's chiefly a Sega franchise from what I can find. Couldn't find who owns the IP tho

Mario is the best selling franchise. Maybe not individual series (which all still sell millions).
