https://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-details-the-stuff-coming-in-destiny-2s-latest-festival-of-the-lost-event/
Halloween is approaching, and so too is the Festival of the Lost, the Destiny 2 seasonal event dedicated to dressing up and celebrating the memories of fallen comrades. This year will see the return of Eva Levante as the herald of the event, which will feature spooky decorations all over the Tower, the return of the Haunted Forest activity, and the Braytech Werewolf, a 950 power Halloween-themed version of the Braytech Winter Wolf Legendary auto rifle.

Halloween has come to Rainbow Six Siege in the Doktor's Curse, a limited time event that went live today and will run until November 6. Set on a "spooky, reworked, Frankenstein version" of the Theme Park map, the mode will pit a team of five Exterminators against a squad of five Monsters, with special rewards for kills, wins, and one for just showing up.

Elite: Dangerous delays Fleet Carrier launch to mid-2020
https://www.pcgamer.com/elite-dangerous-delays-fleet-carrier-launch-to-mid-2020/
In August, Frontier Development announced that massive Fleet Carriers with the ability to travel great distances and serve as refueling and refitting stations for smaller ships would be added to Elite: Dangerous in December. That plan has now changed, however, as Frontier has shifted its focus for the remainder of the year, and beyond, to fixing bugs.

Some kind of Dying Light/Left 4 Dead 2 crossover appears to be coming
https://www.pcgamer.com/some-kind-of-dying-lightleft-4-dead-2-crossover-appears-to-be-coming/
It's been longer than you think since Left 4 Dead 2 came out, and if you don't believe me, chew on this: Ten years have passed since Coach, Nick, Rochelle, and Ellis first blazed their way across the Infected wasteland. That's right, a full-on decade—you didn't see that coming, did you? I can barely believe it myself.
Sadly, despite all that time gone by there's still no sign out of Valve that Left 4 Dead 3 is something that will ever actually happen. But it seems like something is happening—in that other first-person zombie game, Dying Light.

Age of sail FTL-like Abandon Ship leaves Early Access
https://www.pcgamer.com/age-of-sail-ftl-like-abandon-ship-leaves-early-access/
After 20 months in Early Access, Abandon Ship is entering version 1.0 and sailing into full release. It's a game of krakens, lightning storms, and pirates that's a bit like a cross between FTL and Sunless Sea, although with a mercifully much faster ship than the latter game.

Helldivers is four years old and still being updated
https://www.pcgamer.com/helldivers-is-four-years-old-and-still-being-updated/
Every year around Liberty Day, which is October 26 in the futuristic Super Earth of Helldivers' setting, Arrowhead Studios release an update for their game of twin-stick co-op chaos. This year it comes with a new subtitle, and will be called Helldivers: Dive Harder from now on.

Former Xbox vice president Mike Ybarra is joining Blizzard next month. He announced the news on Twitter, only weeks after it emerged that he would leave Microsoft after nearly 20 years with the company.

The Long Dark's third episode is out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-long-darks-third-episode-is-out-now/
After a long delay—it was initially scheduled for release in December of 2018—the third episode of The Long Dark's narrative Wintermute mode is out now. It's called Crossroads Elegy, and it has players, now in the role of new protagonist Dr. Astrid Greenwood, exploring Pleasant Valley to "uncover local mysteries and rescue lost survivors as you navigate treacherous blizzards and face devious Timberwolves". From the trailer, it seems like there's going to be a lot of those wolves.

Kingdom Under Fire 2 finally arrives on November 14
https://www.pcgamer.com/kingdom-under-fire-2-finally-arrives-on-november-14th/
I've been following the development of Kingdom Under Fire 2 since long before I started writing about games. First announced in 2008, it was originally intended to be a flagship game for the Xbox 360 in 2009. An ambitious Warhammer-inspired hybrid of high fantasy MMO, RTS and Dynasty Warriors-style hack n' slash action, putting Korean studio Blueside on the map once more.
Clearly, things didn't quite work out. After a decade of development hell and several attempts at free-to-play launches around the world ending in server shutdowns, new publisher Gameforge hope to give it one more go. Launching in English for the first time on November 14, Kingdom Under Fire 2 will now be a retail game priced at £26.99/€29.99/$29.99, though it's still an MMO, and there will still be (mostly cosmetic) microtransactions available after launch.

Borderlands 2 VR is off to a rough start on PC
https://www.pcgamer.com/borderlands-2-vr-is-off-to-a-rough-start-on-pc/
Borderlands 3 might be the talk of the town in looter-shooter circles, but Gearbox are taking Borderlands 2 out for one last victory lap on PC with Borderlands 2 VR, released today. Originally a PlayStation VR game, it has made its way back to PC as a full-priced re-release (comparable to Fallout 4 and Skyrim's VR ports) letting you play through the entirety of the RPG shooter in virtual reality, minus multiplayer support.
At least, that's what it should do, but if you don't have an Oculus Rift S or similar you might have a rough time, as owners of other headsets are reporting issues with the game at the moment.

Please excuse my bad English.
