Witcher 2 looks okay, especially if you're playing on X1 BC which fixes the jarring textures issues.

Honestly, I wasn't that impressed by Witcher 2 on 360. Its a linear game and by the time it released there were plenty of large scale games on 360 that were more visually polished than that port. I just appreciated they did the port and I bought it at release, although I didn't much care for it.

At the time Rage released I didn't really appreciate 60 fps like I do now, so I didn't consider it looks less impressive than other games because of the frame rate. I remember at the time I bought into the hype of this game not reusing any textures, but the end product was a game with average (sometimes muddy) textures and texture pop in issues. In the end it was a game hyped for visuals that just seemed average to me.

If we're gonna praise games for 60 fps, I would argue CoD games deserve a mention. Pretty much everything from MW2 to Advanced Warfare.

MW2/MW3/BO/BO2 looked impressive, I concur, but not Advanced Warfare IMO, it suffered from looking noticeably downgraded as a result of being built for PS4/Xbone then chopped down, had a lot of rather poor textures and shadows.

I just edited my previous post with some thoughts on RE5.

I feel the AW campaign was more ambitious than previous games technically, a lot more happening given its futuristic and heavy action environment. So there may have been compromise on assets yet maintained an impressive frame rate even now.

I think many of the cross gen games were attempting to use more advanced lighting effects but lacked the power. So you ended up with a downgraded variation and more pixelated shadows. I've mentioned Destiny before because it had impressive 8th gen-ish lighting, but low res shadows.
