Witcher 2 was not well optimized. It had some of the worst texture pop in even when installed and it always looked pixelated probably due to lack of filtering. However, X1X give a 4K boost and fixes texture problems.

All the Crysis games had impressive assets, but textures could be muddy, poor draw distance and frame rate were issues. DF did a video on all three and its kinda jarring.

Rage was a mixed bag visually. Like texture pop in, character models seemed kinda dated, the world in general wasnt that impressive to look at. However, it looked good for a 60 fps game.

Some other games that I think aged well visually are Resident Evil 5 and 6. Dead Space games and Mass Effect games. All of those games still look good even if they can be nitpicked.

I still thought Witcher 2 looked impressive in spite of its issues, especially given the base game was built for PC hardware way more powerful than 360.

Same with Rage, it did have imperfections, but I thought it looked awesome overall at 60fps.

Resident Evil 5 did really wow me back in 2009, and I feel like it has aged very well because of its art style.

Witcher 2 looks okay, especially if you're playing on X1 BC which fixes the jarring textures issues.

Honestly, I wasn't that impressed by Witcher 2 on 360. Its a linear game and by the time it released there were plenty of large scale games on 360 that were more visually polished than that port. I just appreciated they did the port and I bought it at release, although I didn't much care for it.

At the time Rage released I didn't really appreciate 60 fps like I do now, so I didn't consider it looks less impressive than other games because of the frame rate. I remember at the time I bought into the hype of this game not reusing any textures, but the end product was a game with average (sometimes muddy) textures and texture pop in issues. In the end it was a game hyped for visuals that just seemed average to me.

If we're gonna praise games for 60 fps, I would argue CoD games deserve a mention. Pretty much everything from MW2 to Advanced Warfare.

In regard to RE5. I was amazed how good the effects were and how many character models it could have on screen at once. Visuals that good were generally cinematics so it wowed me at the time.

This DF video for example shows how well this engine could handle complex, fast moving in game cutscenes, many camera changes without having jarring pop in. Even games on modern hardware struggle to accomplish this.
