A lot of it probably comes from Politics, too.
It's a shame. Staff, Admins are really putting a lot of effort into keeping the site alive. I was shocked the Switch sales thread wasn't posted, I had completely forgotten about it as well.
I guess, as users, we can try to make sure relevant topics like those are always in the front page.
