I actually get them mixed up as well (or at least I used to). It doesn't help that the name "Ellie" has a likeness to "Ellen". But yeah, they look very similar, and she acts similar to how I would imagine Ellen Page acts (based on that movie where she is a pregnant teen).

I wonder what really happened with this situation. Did Naughty Dog purposely make a character that looks and acts like Ellen Page? Did Ellen Page sue ND? Did she win?

Ellen Page complained about it,with some tweets ND replied and that was the end of that, from my viewpoint it looked like it had more to do with the timing of both games and the fact that Ellie was getting lots more publicity. Naughty dog responded with the fact that they started developing Ellie before Ellen got the two souls role, they showed early pictures of Ellie and later ones to show how her look changed overtime due to them wanting to incorporate parts of Ellie's character actor Ashley Johnson into her image, plus someone else mentioned that Ellen doesn't have a monopoly on small button nosed girls.
