FF7 is pretty good, but it doesn't come close to TLoU. Hope you don't have unreal hopes for it. And are you really that excited for Cyberpunk? Last time I didn't get your hype for a game because I have none I was really, really wrong (Nier Automata), so I'll keep more of an eye for it from now on. |
Well to expand further into why FF7 is at the top of my list.
I have kept myself on the dark regarding TLOU II (i didnt watch any of the new content that was recently shown), i dont even know what the story is about so its hard to be excited when i havent seen that much, and as i said before i didnt play the original FF7 and i have spent almost 2 decades at this point listening to people talk about how awesome it was, im also more into JRPGs than i am into survival horror games and add to that the fact that i have my bias as well since i do tend to enjoy japanese games more than western ones in general, (and i repeat "in general" since there are obviously many exceptions).
however i understand where you are coming from since i know first hand the quality of ND and how they keep surpassing my expectations, and thats why at the end of my comment i said that there is a good chance that once i have played all the games TLOU II will end up being my favorite, im just simply not that excited since i havent seen that much about the game (which is great for me because the game will have an easier time surprising me and surpassing my expectations).
Regarding Cyberpunk 2077.
I dont know if you do but i enjoy the GTA games, and Cyberpunk basically looks like a GTA game on a much more interesting setting, with better looking gameplay, way more customization, more interesting story, better sidequests in general (if i can judge it based on CD Project Reds previous works), a city that is going to be much more interesting to explore due to the setting, and a ton of RPG mechanics that i love in games.
Also i love the fact that you did enjoy Automata, (its still is my favorite game this gen).
