I think the Switch has a shot now to do so.

It has a shot at it.  I definitely think Switch will do at least 4.5M.  Not sure how far it is going to get above that though.  

I also think that Nintendo is likely to have supply issues during the holidays.  Who knows if there will even be 4.8M available to purchase?  They predicted 18M worldwide for the current fiscal year and they are going to blow right past that.  Nintendo seems like they are underestimating demand for the Switch.

Probably more that they didn't want to risk having to lower the numbers again, as that's poison for their stocks.
