Why is this even a thing? The games Sony has announced for PS4 are for the PS4, you'll be able to play them on PS5 through BC but Sony's not gonna use these to sell PS5s.

Horizon Zero Dawn came out in early 2017, when PS5 comes out next year it will have been almost 4 years, GG can certainly have a sequel ready in that time if they made the first one in 5 years. Not to mention by all accounts the next gen consoles are helping cutdown on development time.

Then Gran Turismo 7 should also be good to go. A title from Studio Japan. Perhaps the Demon's Souls remake by Bluepoint. I think those 4 at or during the launch window as in from November 2020- Early 2021 would be a pretty good launch without having to rely on PS4 games.

So you agree with the either or the or, or both? I'd like to ask why this is even a thing but...

I’m talking about the notion that these games will be cross-generation. PS5 will be BC so they will work regardless which makes the concept of cross-gen titles redundant.
