Just posted Week 37 numbers, and with them, history!!
The PlayStation 4 has become just the 6th video game system to sell 100 million units worldwide. In doing so, it becomes just the 3rd PlayStation system to do it alongside its predecessors the original PlayStation and the PlayStation 2. As well as just the 4th home console to do it alongside it's aforementioned predecessors and the Nintendo Wii. Speaking of the Wii, that's the next system in line to be surpassed by the PS4 in just a matter of weeks.
Meanwhile, the Xbox One got a noticeable bump from last week, we can credit Gears 5 for that, most likely. And the Nintendo Switch leads all platforms this week just before the worldwide launch of the Nintendo Switch Lite, and if Japan serves as an indication, next week's numbers are going to be massive!
