How would you say they evolved the multiplayer? They didn't add any new modes to play, those couple of new weapons aren't exactly innovative, most stuff they decided to add is familiar from other shooters. They've lowered the skill cap by making movement slower, adding aim assist & bigger hitboxes etc.

I mean yeah, it's fun and all but they've definitely alienated the core of Gears. I can see why they did it though. I hope it'll be a success and bring in new fans. Afraid it won't though.

Those changes are pretty minor compared to Halo’s, to me it’s a very similar experience to past titles and I see a lot or diehard fans enjoying it but I can see why pros might be a bit mad. Coalition might be able to tweak it a bit. I’ve never really been into the pro scene of Gears I’m just speaking about the old school fans I see enjoying it.

I'm not into the pro scene either and what I've seen most diehard/old school  fans don't like this game. And I'm struggling to think of reasons why they would.

It's not too late to fix it fortunately. I don't mind those little delays of movement, bouncing and shooting but they simply need to either nerf weapon damages, nerf the ridiculous stopping power or remove aim assist. All these thing combined with open maps with less cover has made this game something else than Gears.

I'm finishing two rounds KotH matches with 60+ eliminations & 30+ downs. But it's not exciting. Those intimitading, highly skilled players are handicapped. No need to play smart and avoid or surprise them.
