After the ring, the board can be used as an add-on for a few exercises. That's why I the ring can be seen as a board successor. It doesn't emulate the same exercises, but it covers many bases to the point that the board isn't a requirement to call this new version a Fit successor. |
That's the same kind of marketing that failed during the Wii U days. The Wii Fit branding may still have some appeal, but it's more important for Nintendo to highlight what's new about this game, not to mention keeping the required peripherals to a minimum.
