Apex Legends is free to play: Just pop over to Origin, grab it, and go. Come October, EA is going to take a shot at some retail revenues with the release of two physical editions of the game, one for Lifeline and the other featuring Bloodhound.

Gears 5 on Steam is now available for purchase in China (Updated)

Update: There's still no word from Microsoft or The Coalition about the "specific issue" that prevented Gears 5 sales in China, but whatever it was, it's been solved. "We are pleased to announce that Gears 5 is now available in Mainland China. All existing pre-purchases will be honored and added to your Steam account," TC Octus wrote in a new message posted to the Steam forums. "Thanks for your patience."

FIFA 20 demo is now available on Origin

FIFA 20 comes out later this month, but you can get a taste of what it's all about right now courtesy of the FIFA 20 demo that went live today on Origin. The demo offers 3v3 Volta action in Amsterdam and some Champions League gameplay as Chelsea, Dortmund, Liverpool, PSG, Real Madrid, or Tottenham.

4-Block Dungeon has an amazing yet simple concept: what if Tetris pieces were traversable dungeons? And what if the player needed to manage not only the layout of the Tetris piece dungeon, but also a tiny playable character inside?
That's the objective in this neat browser prototype, which indie developer SquareAnon uploaded following some very enthusiastic feedback on Twitter.

Free action game Goreball offers some sublime physics fun

The name, of course, is excellent, although it only sort of fits, as there isn't really any gore to speak of in Goreball. Instead, the demonic enemies you square off against will readily explode in clouds of bitty pixels. It's still an excellent sight, however, as it means there's one less monster left in each difficult, puzzley level.

Fallout 76 players aren't impressed with the new $7 fridge

Fallout 76's latest patch hasn't gone down very well among the citizens of post-apocalyptic West Virginia. The update brings with it some big changes to events, a new Nuclear Winter map and a bunch of rewards, but it's the Atomic Shop additions that have ruffled feathers, inspiring a multitude of critical posts on the subreddit.

Ubisoft isn't planning to go back to smaller games

After scrapping World of Warcraft's Recruit A Friend programme back in June, Blizzard has now revealed what it's being replaced by. The good news is that the new Recruit A Friend programme will net you more rewards, but unfortunately it's probably going to make you even more of a pusher.
