That would be a really awesome edition to the story if they pulled that off. If they did that, in addition to the easter egg at the end of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, then I won't help but wonder if it's intentional.
Perhaps related to whatever ideas Monolith may have for a Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

That would be cool, here's hoping @_@

Spoiler!
Alvis is the third core of the Trinity Processor aboard the station that initiated the experiment that created Xenoblade 1's universe. He disappeared into this new universe along with half of Klaus (Zanza) while the other two remained in the real-world-future universe of Xenoblade 2. The three cores are Ontos (Alvis), Logos, (Malos) and Pneuma. (Mythra)

I remember thinking that was the intention as well (unless it was openly confirmed)....just my only reservation would be...

Spoiler!

Why is Alvis also the AI for the space station? I mean the likely reason is that the Aegis idea didn't exist when XC1 one was made and they still wanted to draw a connection between Zanza, Meyneth, Alvis and their real-world counterparts...but I can't help but wonder if they'll be distinct and Ontos might something featured in XC3, whenever that happens.

Of course I prefer the simpler explanation to explain why Malos wields a Monado and why Mythra can see the future, but I'm open to whatever crazier idea they might have.

Pretty sure that can just be put down to them not having thought up XB2 yet at the time they wrote XB1 haha.
