That said, Warren is being criticized by climate activists for not supporting public utilities. Justly, in my opinion. If you want a 100% renewable grid in 10 years, you're not going to get it with any of the current business models, at least not in an economically stable way, and if you try to force them to change their business model, they're just going to balk and the whole thing is going to fail. The profit motive is just too resistant to the kind of change we need. Bernie is the only one with the courage to take the fight to greedy industry executives on quite that scale, and right now I need my elected officials to have that level of courage.
