96-layer ? Sure but 128-layers ? That isn't going to come into any meaningful production yet until next year where the new manufacturer is almost certain to have figured it out before that year is out ...

And besides even if the other competitors are technologically ahead, they'll still be more than competitive in terms of cost per bit since their workers are likely paid less than half the salary from other companies as well ... 

Eventually, as the new manufacturer becomes more technologically competitive Samsung and the others will start to see their profit margins dry up and soon it becomes unprofitable for them to keep developing NAND flash because of market dumping ...
