Insomniac will do as they please. Sony is not microsoft, which means they will have creative control over their projects and most likely have options to work on passion projects. Of course, this this depends on the return they give Sony.

The biggest problem I see with the logic of Xbox and how they view Microsoft’s value for ips, it’s horribly wrong and has either left them dependent or stagnant. Microsoft needs to be courting devs they can make NEW games with. They need to feel comfortable with microsoft letting them be in control of their projects.

I don't think the purchase is as valuable to MS given Sony owns their best work.

Insomniac is probably gonna be the Spiderman studio for now, maybe with some other projects on the side. MS wouldn't be able to make Spiderman games simply by owning Insomniac.
